he Stars Look Down movie is a British film released in 1940. This classic film is based on A. J. Cronin's novel was written in 1935 with the same title. The film is about injustices in a mining town in North East England.
Coal miners, who are led by Robert "Bob" Fenwick, vote to go on strike. The miners are refusing to work in a particular section of the mine. The reason is due to the great danger of flooding. Tensions rise as the strikers go hungry.
