The movie, Santa Claus, is a wacky and wonderful film made in Mexico and released in 1959. This is the English version with no subtitles. It is dubbed and they did a fine job. Santa has to battle Pitch, sent by the Devil. Pitch's job is to kill Santa and turn all the children evil. In 1960, a slightly edited English dubbed version of the film was produced for release in the United States by K. Gordon Murray. The film has achieved wider recognition and garnered a cult following Once you see it, you may want to make it a Christmas tradition. The English version of Santa Claus features no cast information. Salt of the Earth is a 1954 US drama movie written by Michael Wilson, directed by Herbert J. Biberman, and produced by Paul Jarrico. The film was called 'subversive' and blacklisted because the International Union of Mine, Mill, and Smelter Workers sponsored it and many blacklisted Hollywood professionals helped produce it.
